Glengoyne Distillery
Open all year. Mon to Sat 10am to 4pm. Sun 12noon to 4pm.
Built in Rob Roy MacGregor's country and close to the distillery is an old oak tree said to be one of his hiding places. Distilling started in 1833. Between 1876 and 1905 distillery was know an Glen Guin. Original stills were of an unusual design having straight sides, these have now been replaced. 1966-67 saw reconstruction and stills increased from 2 to 3.
